Our People: an essential asset
To help our people reveal their potential, ELTON has written a “model of excellence” setting out the behaviours the company expects. It is a body of knowledge, attitudes and skills expected of ELTON staff at different levels. The model of excellence is used in the appraisal, feedback, training and development processes for staff: The knowledge and the know-how are the part of the model concerned with knowledge, and with developing and sharing know-how, as well as the ability to put it into practice to meet objectives. Teamwork is the ability to get involved, to fit in and to work as a team: it is a crucial organisational skill. The concept calls for leadership qualities, the ability to manage colleagues and draw excellence from them, and to build mutual trust. Passion relates to motivation, commitment and a positive attitude, as well as the energy, drive, insight and resilience to be shown, particularly in especially difficult and stressful situations. Leading by example means showing, on the one hand, a responsible attitude towards results and resources, reflecting compliance in actions and transparency in operations, and, on the other, maintaining the level of credibility earned inside and outside the company.
